This design takes a lot of wool, although once you start it's reasonably simple to do. This isn't the biggest rug, but would work well for a pram.
You've seen him previously, but let me introduce Pierre Bear - he is French - from Galleries Lafayette in Paris - 25+ years ago. He's the perfect model, probably a little smaller than a newborn, but he always has a smile on his face and loves all my work!
A passionate hobby of mine is crocheting baby blankets. My gorgeous pregnant friends and the local hospital charity are the main recipients of my work. I would love to hear from anyone that would like to put in an order for a bespoke blanket for a loved one. You choose the colour, size and pattern.

Project 16 - Fawn edging with coloured metered squares
It's been a while since I've posted. Doesn't mean I haven't been busy with the crochet hook and wool!
With a lot of extra unused coloured balls, I bought some fawn to tie it all together and created different coloured metered squares. I'm not sure if it worked well, but it's something different and would look fabulous on a baby's cot.

Project 15 - Green & multi-colour rug
Project 13 & 14 - Square Metre Rugs (Blue & Pink)
I found this design online and really loved the look of it. You make the small corner first and then only crochet around two sides to create the square.
I liked making them so much I made two versions!
First was the blue version:
Then to even it up I made a pink version. I actually like the edging on this one more, as it adds more interest.

Project 12 - Yellow framed afghan
Size: 113cm x 80cm
I like these squares, as they're just a little different from a regular pattern, which I think adds more interest.

Project 11 - Dark Blue Rug
Size: 86cm x 88cm
I love the design of this, although I got a bit bored finishing it off. The wool is lovely, really soft.

Project 10 - Coloured Afghan
These pics were taken fairly quickly as I wanted to give the rug to my mum (who was visiting). Not my greatest rug, but its a good size and it used a lot of 'odd' balls of wool that were left over from other projects.
Project 9 - Light Blue Rug
This rug was made with donated wool, it was a cotton mix, which I didn't particularly like - it's a bit stiff for a baby rug, but it came out nicely. It was donated to the hospital for sale at their regular stall.
Sorry, the white balance is out (again) on my camera!
