I saw this pattern in Ravelry and really liked it. It worked up really well.
A passionate hobby of mine is crocheting baby blankets. My gorgeous pregnant friends and the local hospital charity are the main recipients of my work. I would love to hear from anyone that would like to put in an order for a bespoke blanket for a loved one. You choose the colour, size and pattern.

Project 20 - Green Poles
It's been a while since I've posted any of my projects. No excuse. I've found a whole bunch of groups on Facebook and have been looking at some amazing projects people are making from all over the world - and I have so much to aspire to!
Anyway, here's another baby blanket - I really love this stitch and these colours work well (I think).
Pierre seems pretty happy with it too!

It's off to the Shellharbour Hospital Ladies auxiliary

Project 19 - Honeycomb - Musk, White and Beige
This one is from the archive - I really enjoyed making this - it didn't take to long and the honeycomb look with the stripes is effective (I think!). I should make another one similar to this in the near future....
I really love the edging of this too. Different to the regular shell design I do - keeping in line with the geometric look...

Project 18 - Using some donated wool
This wool came from the ladies at the Shellharbour Ladies Auxilary, it's always difficult to know what designs to use - as most balls are different ply and/or different dye lots. I'm pretty happy with both of them, although they're a little small. I imagine them being used for lap rugs in aged care.
Whoops. I ran out of the maroon, pink and grey and the rug was still too small, so I used some spare white at both edges to make it bigger. In hindsight I should have used white throughout, but I think it looks kind of OK.
I'm back making some baby blankets with purchased wool now, and should have more to show you soon!
Oh BTW, I've started a Facebook page, drop by and like my page! Love to see any projects you're working on there...

Project 17 - Beige cable stitch
This design takes a lot of wool, although once you start it's reasonably simple to do. This isn't the biggest rug, but would work well for a pram.
You've seen him previously, but let me introduce Pierre Bear - he is French - from Galleries Lafayette in Paris - 25+ years ago. He's the perfect model, probably a little smaller than a newborn, but he always has a smile on his face and loves all my work!
